FREE SHORTCAKE KIDS RUN AT 7:45
(10 and under)
Race: This FUN event starts and ends at the Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville. Strawberry themed race with Strawberry and Shortcake post-race snacks! T-shirts will be Red and/or Pink! Pick up strawberries along the course for prizes (not real strawberries, Silly!). Free 1/4 mile Shortcake kids run at 7:45 (kids 10 & Under).
Parking: Ample free parking is available throughout the park.
Awards: The top 3 female and male finishers will receive awards. Age group awards will be presented in 5 or 10 year increments depending on registration numbers.
STRAWBERRY THEME FINISHER MEDALS for all who complete the 5K!
T-Shirts: T-shirts will be red or pink or some combo of red and pink!
Course: The run course is on a very nice road width paved trail (flat too) that goes through the park and travels across a historic bridge! Course is just beautiful, quite a bit of shade and no traffic! You'll love it!
Strawberries on the Course: Plastic or wooden strawberries will be out on the course! Bring them to the finish line for cash prizes!
Registration: Registration and packet pick up for this event will take place at the main shelter at Blue River Memorial Park, 725 Lee Blvd., Shelbyville, IN. Modern bathrooms are located at registration area near the Shelter. There is a free splash pad and play ground located next to the Shelter for the kiddos!
Free Shortcake Kids Run: Free kids run for kids 10 and under at 7:45 at start/finish line. Apprx 1/4 mile. Finisher awards!
Results: Full results and LOTS of pictures will be posted on the website and Facebook!
