RULES: All Female Runners and Walkers will leave out on the course 5 minutes ahead of all the male runners and walkers. Female runners/walkers will have heart pull tags attached to their backs (as well as their official race number on their front). Heart pull tags on the backs of the women will be partially detached and may be GENTLY removed by male runners/walkers if they are able to catch up to the female particpants. Male and Female participants who return to the finish line with a heart will receive a special surprise! Female runners/walkers are not allowed to go off course or 'save' their heart for certain male runners. Please - NO DOGS allowed on the course during the event.
Awards: The top 3 female and male finishers will receive trophies. First Place in each group will receive an award - 5 year increments. The first child 12 & under to finish the 5K will receive an "Energy2Action Little Cupid" Award.
Course: Flat and fast on paved road and paved pathways through the intelliplex.
Intelliplex Conference Center: Nice, WARM building with plenty of bathrooms and close to the start/finish line. Cookies and Valentine treats will be provided for all participants after the race.
Results: Full results and LOTS of pictures will be posted on the website.
This is not an official race walk event. Walkers are started with the runners and timed with them as well.
