Awards: The top 3 female and male finishers will receive awards and prizes. Age group awards will be given to the top two in each age group of 10 year increments.
What is Relay for Life?: Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature event. This 5K Run/Walk will kick off the Relay For Life event in Shelbyville on June 5th. Proceeds raised from the 5K benefit the American Cancer Society.
Course: Course travels through the fairgrounds and two neighboring parks.
Shelby County Fairgrounds: Registration for the 5K takes place just inside the front gates of the fairgrounds. There are plenty of bathrooms close to the start/finish line. Refreshments, water and gatorade will be provided for all participants after the race.
Results: Complete results and LOTS of pictures will be posted on the website.
This is not a official race walk event but Walkers are WELCOME and encouraged to attend. Walkers are started with the runners and timed with them as well.
